ZenDuty Business Model
ZenDuty is a software platform that helps companies quickly detect and fix technical issues before they impact customers. It’s mainly used by engineering and IT teams to stay on top of alerts, manage incidents and respond faster when something goes wrong. ZenDuty works with tools companies already in use and makes sure the right people are notified at the right time. By reducing downtime and helping teams act quickly, ZenDuty makes it easier for companies to keep their systems running smoothly and their customers happy.
Why we invested in ZenDuty
ZenDuty was a compelling candidate for us because ZenDuty solves a mission-critical problem for modern tech-driven companies; how to detect, manage, and resolve system incidents quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime and protect user experience. In today’s always-on world, even a few minutes of downtime can cost businesses thousands, if not millions of dollars. ZenDuty addresses this by offering a smart incident response platform that helps teams reduce Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR) by up to 60%, automate alert routing and coordinate on-call schedules, all of which significantly improve uptime and operational efficiency.
ZenDuty sits at the core of a massive digital transformation wave. As organizations scale and move to hybrid cloud setups, the need for effective incident management becomes not just important, but absolutely essential. ZenDuty’s product has strong developer adoption, high retention and integrates seamlessly with over 100 monitoring and collaboration tools, making it deeply embedded in engineering workflows.
Where's Zenduty headed
The global IT incident management sector is projected to reach $6.7 billion by 2028, reflecting the increasing complexity of IT infrastructures and the necessity for robust incident response solutions. Since its inception in 2019, ZenDuty has demonstrated impressive growth. By December 2024, the company reported annual revenues of approximately $3.8 million and maintained a lean team of around 34 employees across Asia and North America.
The strategic acquisition by Xurrent in early 2025 has further bolstered ZenDuty's capabilities, integrating its advanced incident management technology into Xurrent's comprehensive IT operations management offerings.
